Ordering and Payment Information
You have 2 ways to place your order:
After placing an order with us you will receive an email from us confirming that your order is in stock, when you should expect the order to arrive, and how to track the status of the order. Most of our customers pay by credit card and we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover through our secure server. You can also pay by check. Just select a payment method and we will get your order ready, but it will only ship after the check clears. Since it takes a couple of days to get your order ready to ship, you will not experience a delay if you pay with a check.
All items in our store can be delivered within Western Washington State. Currently we are not delivering outside of the Western Washington State area. Applicable sales tax applies in WA, but in some cases we can pay your Sales Tax to provide better service for the local customers. Delivery address must be accessible to semi-trailer truck for non-UPS size shipments. We have one of the shortest delivery times in the industry. Most items are in stock (in our warehouse) and will be shipped within 4 - 7 business days of purchase. Delivery takes another 3 - 10 business days. We use UPS for smaller items, and Freight Carriers for larger ones. If the shipping time takes longer than this, you will be contacted by our customer service department with other options.
Behar's Furniture requires a signature at time of delivery. If you make arrangements for someone else to accept your delivery, you still hold the same responsibilities as if you signed for the shipment. If you make arrangements for the carrier to leave the merchandise without a signature, you waive all rights and release Behar's Furniture from all responsibility regarding the shipment. Any exception to this voids Behar's Furniture's responsibility for the condition of the merchandise or other delivery issues.
Your order will be shipped via the most appropriate method based on the weight and size of your furniture. If possible, according to UPS weight/size limits, your order will ship via UPS. In this case your items are identified as "UPS Shipment". Packages that exceed UPS weight and size limits are identified as "Truck Shipment" and will be shipped via Motor Freight Company.
On most large items, Premium Delivery can be purchased for inside your home delivery with full set up and removal of all packaging. With this Premium Delivery shipping option the delivery company will carry the items inside your home, completely set up and assemble all of the furniture in the room of your choice and take all packing materials and cartons with them.
This service does not include moving your existing furniture, wall decor, or rugs. Please make sure that the space in which you wish your new furniture to reside is cleared and ready for your new addition(s). White Glove service does not include: plumbing or installation of vanities, or provide wiring or installation of electrical components.
Behar's Furniture holds no responsibility for damage to the home, including floor, ceiling, walls, doors, windows, etc. by the home delivery company. It is your responsibility to file a claim with the company, provided White Glove Delivery service.
Delivery time: 7 - 15 business days, depending on your location.
Most orders will be shipped via common carrier and delivered by a trucking company contracted by Behar's Furniture. Common carrier deliveries are only performed Monday through Friday. The shipping company who is obligated to fulfill delivery of your order will contact you by phone prior to delivery to establish an approximate time for you to receive your delivery. We ship only in Western Washington State. Please note that, like any retailer or distributor shipping nationwide, Behar's Furniture ships via national and regional parcel, freight and moving companies. Although we use the largest and most well-known carriers, we are not responsible for delays in transit, freight company employee conduct, missed delivery appointments or damages to the customer's premises. Behar's Furniture will not accept returns or cancellations due to delays in delivery by transportation companies.
Behar's Furniture takes all measures to prevent any damages. Our excellent packaging and shipping experience reduces the chances of damage. However, when your order arrives, please take the time to ensure the paperwork is accurate and that the correct item and number of cartons have been delivered. Please also inspect the packaging and the package contents for any shipping damage. A bill of lading will be signed by the customer to acknowledge receipt of these items in good condition. It is the customer's responsibility to thoroughly check over and visually inspect the merchandise before signing this paperwork. Any damage must be noted on the bill of lading. All claims must be filed (Emailed) with pictures and description of the damage to our customer service department service@behars.com. Behar's Furniture must be contacted within 72 hours of the delivery time to receive replacement items. Behar's Furniture will not be responsible and will not accept any non-noted on Bill of lading claims. If the carton is severely damaged, please refuse the shipment from the freight company. We will arrange for a replacement or replacement parts to be rushed out. We will take the quickest route to remedy the situation. In the event a replacement is delivered to you before original shipment is returned, you are responsible for cooperating with the return of the item. Failure to return the damaged item will result in additional charges for the non-returned item. Behar's Furniture reserves the right to repair or replace any damaged piece of furniture. It will be at the discretion of Behar's Furniture to have a professional furniture technician inspect the pieces to determine if the items will be repaired or replaced.
Order can be cancelled anytime before it ships, for a full refund. Please keep in mind that once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If you refuse an order, it will then fall under our standard return policy, where roundtrip shipping costs and 15% Restocking Fee will be deducted from your refund. Remember, ACTUAL freight may be much higher than the freight we charge you on the website. This policy is standard for all of the items on our website.
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE:
Upholstered Furniture is warranted under conditions of normal usage for one year from date of delivery, excluding fabrics. Repair of any such defects in workmanship and/or material excluding fabric will be made without charge to the original purchaser during the warranty period. Repair or replacement will be made at the store's option at no charge to the customer during this period. There is no warranty on any upholstered fabric. Fading is normal and not considered a defect. In addition, many manufacturers have extended warranties provided to the purchaser.
Wood Furniture is warranted under conditions of normal usage for one year from date of delivery. Repairs of any such defects in workmanship and/or material will be made without charge to the original purchaser during the warranty period. Nicks and scratches must be reported within 10 days from delivery date.
Reclining mechanisms carry a LIMITED LIFETIME GUARANTEE. We will repair or replace parts for the useful life of the product- there will be a labor charge after the first year.
Construction is guaranteed against breaking, warping, or splitting from normal household use for one year from date of purchase.
All metal parts are guaranteed against breaking or bending from normal use for one year from date of purchase.
Cannot be exchanged, repaired, or returned.
Carpets & are warranted under conditions of normal usage and installation for one year from date of delivery. Sprouting and missing tufts are not considered as defects and will not be repaired by the store. Shading and pile reversal on plush and chenille type carpets is normal and should be expected. Colors and textures may vary from sample. Friction wear and fading are not warranted.
All mattresses and foundations are guaranteed for one year from date of purchase against defects in material or workmanship. Additional warranties are provided by the manufacturer depending on the specific model that is purchased.
Fabric protectant is guaranteed not to alter the color or touch of the fabric. The stain warranty is provided by the product manufacturer.
There will be no cancellation accepted on Special Orders. Because this merchandise is ordered according to your exact instruction, and may not be right for other customers, Behar's Furniture must retain the deposit to cover our expenses in arranging for the manufacture and shipment of the merchandise if you do not accept delivery of the same. We will attempt to estimate the date of arrival of your order, however, we cannot be held responsible for delays due to items out of stock and various manufacturing and shipping problems beyond our control.
We will pay the labor charges to repair or replace defective parts at no cost to the original purchaser for one year from purchase date. After the initial year, the purchaser will be responsible for labor charges to make the repair, except in those cases where a manufacturer's warranty includes labor to perform the repair.
Items that are outside our regularly scheduled delivery and shipping areas must be returned to Behar's Furniture for warranty service, or transportation charges will apply to the repair.
There may be a variance in color in wood finishes, upholstery, drapery fabrics, carpeting, and marble which is beyond our control. Velvets will shade and cushions can wrinkle. The store will make every reasonable effort to insure satisfaction. After a period of one year from date of delivery, our service department will gladly order parts and make repairs as required, subject, of course, to availability. Charges for parts and service will be billed to the owner at the prevailing rate.
Warranty coverage applies to factory defects, delivery damage and deficiencies arising from normal household use.
